Pride!
Happy Pride Month!
Although I think sexuality is something that should be celebrated all year, I’m glad that we take the month of June to honor all of the incredible diversity in sexual experience.
There’s so much that I want to share with you in just one email, so I decided to do a resource round-up!
(Quick note – many of our community members are asking when we’re going to resume our usual sex and relationship content. Next week I’ll be back with a brand new topic for you!)
16 Queer Black Pioneers Who Made History
Last week I talked about how Black women pioneered the Body Positivity movement.
Similarly, Black people and other people of color were also on the forefront of the gay right movements, but don’t often get the credit they deserve.
This list contains some extremely brave people whose names and stories you need to know. I did a research project on Marsha P. Johnson in college and fell in love with her story.
11 Young Activists Leading The Way For LGBTQ+ Equality
This is SUCH a cool list! It features kids as young as 11!!!
I’m particularly interested in checking out Emi Salida, who focuses on asexuality education. I get asked a lot of questions about asexuality, and I’m glad she’s teaching the younger generation about it.
